EXPERIENCE
Robert Caffrey, the owner of Berkeley Properties, has been renovating and building for over 30 years. He started renovation work in 1976. He is a graduate of Seton Hall University with a degree in Construction Management. He has specialized in designing and renovating high end projects. He has designed and built over 35 homes in the northern New Jersey Area. He has purchased and renovated 47 properties in both California and New Jersey.

ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS
The most important part of a project of this magnitude is organizational skills. Most builders use no organized method of determining how the project is going to get done. Berkeley Properties uses the CRITICAL PATH METHOD of construction. There are time lines and goals established for every aspect of construction. We feel it's our greatest responsibility to make every effort to be on time and on budget without compromising quality.

QUALITY AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL
We never compromise on quality. If there is a question about materials we always use the higher and better material. In the event we have to wait for a contractor to finish something critical before we move to the next step, we wait and do not compromise on the quality of the project. We have been active in the design of most of the homes we have built and bring a level of design most contractors just don't have.

MINIMAL DISTURBANCE TO THE CLIENT
We make every effort possible to let the client know in advance what to expect. We cordon off the work areas so as not to disturb the normal flow of life during construction. We can set up a temporary kitchen in order to keep family life as normal as possible. We try as much as possible to work around your schedule. We break through to the main house only when absolutely necessary and when all the pieces necessary to complete the project are in place.
